So Whats this all about then?

Well that's a good question! Its about me really Michael Chan, if you found this page It must be down to two possibilities..

1) you found the really small button I placed at the bottom of my companies pages
2) you found it from one of the search engines.

I am hoping its the latter, after doing SEO work for over twelve years i decided that for a couple of hours i would try to see if I could get my own name up on the web as an SEO Expert. This all came about because one of my clients who I have had a good working relationship with for many years, bet me that i couldnt get me "Michael Chan the SEO Expert" within the top 5 on Google, the search terms he bet me on were "seo expert" with 841,000 competing pages and the other was "Michael Chan" with 2,570,000 competing pages "The guy don't ask for much does he"


Search Engines mumbo jumbo!

SEO this, Search engine Marketing that, Big ROI and a little bit of SEP thrown in. Well whats all this about then well its the terms many people in the industry use to define the services and results that you might get as a client of an SEO Expert, In layman's terms let an SEO expert just get on with all of the above and you will get back, in two easy words "More Business" or "More Revenue" if you prefer to look at that way.


So what's the definition of an SEO Expert then?

Well i guess the simple definition is whether you can get your clients with in the top 5 search engine results, keep them within the top 5 search engines for a sustained amount of time and the most important factor is to do all this whilst making sure you do it with relevant keyword to your Clients needs. "some people out there reading this will know exactly what i mean Wink Wink"


So how are we going to do it then!

Well if i plead and beg all the search engine webmasters in the world to put a link back to my page, then go down to the offices of Google, AltaVista, Overture and Yahoo with boxes and boxes of cream cakes and buns then i might stand a chance of ranking within the top five for the two keywords i mentioned above. but all of that is not going to happen i am afraid, so i will have to resort to my SEO Experts book of Magic to see if i can find a special Potion to get me to the number one position. "LOL"
